We are Stefan, Will, and Stephan, and together we've made it our mission to help amplify the impact of Art Therapy.
Combining our backgrounds in arts, neuroscience, and a love for building digital tools, we aim to work with the community to deliver solutions that don't yet exist.
Meet the Founders
Stefan Oliva
Co-FounderStefan oversees finance, legal, and operations at FrameShare. He is a recent graduate of Yale University, where he focused on the intersection of social good and private enterprise and helped establish and lead the Meng Impact Investment Fund. At Yale, he also worked as a research assistant at Yale Law School and lived year-round on a sailboat. Prior to graduate school, Stefan spent nine years at Gro Intelligence, starting as the first intern in Nairobi and rising to the Office of the CEO, where he led strategic deals and represented the company at the UN during the 2022 global food crisis. Originally from Queens, NY, he is the son of a therapist and double majored in International Relations and African Studies at Colgate University, where he captained the Track & Field team.
William Wheeler
Chief Creative OfficerWilliam Wheeler is the current Chief Creative Officer, responsible for aesthetic vision and user experience. A Yale MFA graduate and lifelong artist, Will ensures the platform’s tools are deeply aligned with the needs of creative professionals. His expertise is crucial for designing an intuitive and clinically effective user experience. Will's unique perspective comes from his international work; he is a recipient of the Henry Luce Foundation Fellowship, which brought him to China where he is currently a professor of sculpture at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He previously held a tenure track position at Alfred University in New York.
Stephan Meyer zum Alten Borgloh, PhD
Chief Technology OfficerStephan Meyer, CTO of FrameShare, holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the Max Planck Institute and completed postdoctoral research at Rockefeller University. He spent seven years advancing hardware and software to study the visual cortex and published in top journals. Stephan later focused on software and data in early-stage startups, building engineering teams and consumer products, especially within satellite and climate tech. He also consulted on clinical wearable technology. At FrameShare, Stephan leads product development and oversees core technology, security, and key user features, applying a scientific and innovative approach throughout the platform.
Our Advisors
Gretchen is based in Northeast Ohio and has advanced the art therapy field for over two decades by integrating technology, digital media, and online experiences into clinical and community practice. She is an international speaker, author of The Art Therapist's Guide to Social Media (Routledge), and has served on the American Art Therapy Association's Board of Directors. Gretchen guest edited a special issue on online art therapy for the International Journal of Art Therapy and currently contributes as Associate Editor and Social Media Coordinator for the Art Therapy: Journal of the American Art Therapy Association.
Nancy Choe is an assistant professor at Loyola Marymount University whose work explores the intersections of creativity, technology, and mental health. Grounded in the Expressive Therapies Continuum (ETC), she integrates art therapy, digital media, and narrative inquiry to develop creativity-centered approaches to wellness and education. Her research spans digital media, artificial intelligence, narrative medicine, material studies, poetry therapy, and post-traumatic creativity. As an immigrant from South Korea, she is actively involved in advancing mental health awareness within the Korean American community through nonprofit organizations such as the Korean American Wellness Association (KAWA) and Liberty in North Korea (LiNK).
Erin's clinical experience spans community, pediatric, forensic, and geriatric settings. Her research and publications explore art therapy, elder care, graphic medicine, and technology through participatory, ethnographic, and art-based approaches. Erin teaches in the art therapy programs at Dominican University of California and Lewis & Clark College, and serves as Director at THE 222, an arts nonprofit in Healdsburg, CA. She contributes to the profession through her ongoing work with the American Art Therapy Association and the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
Reina Lombardi, ATR-BC, ATCS, LMHC-QS owns and manages Florida Art Therapy Services, LLC where she and a team of art and play therapists provide individual and group therapy services, clinical supervision, and continuing education for mental health professionals. She is an instructor in the Department of Psychology, Counseling, and Art Therapy in the program of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Pennsylvania Western University. Reina also hosts and produces The Creative Psychotherapist podcast, where she interviews Creative and Expressive Arts Therapists about their work and their impact.
Philip Tuinenburg is a strategy and product leader with two decades of experience helping organizations grow, adapt, and scale. After ten years at McKinsey & Company, where he advised more than 70 organizations on transformation and growth, he went on to lead growth, product and operations at various startups focused on data, AI, climate, and social impact. Philip brings a deep understanding of what makes mission-driven teams succeed, with a focus on building scalable products and thoughtful organizations. He holds three degrees in history from the University of Amsterdam and an MBA from Columbia Business School, and now advises founders, investors, and boards across sectors.
Ann Herbst is a business development consultant for health and wellness startups as well as the Executive Director of Young People in Recovery, a national nonprofit organization serving youth and young adults in recovery from substance use disorder. She is the former children's health editor of McCall's magazine and former editor in chief of New Parents magazine. She graduated cum laude from Harvard University and is a healthcare concentrator in the Executive MBA program of Yale's School of Management with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026.
