If you are located in Canada, the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data may be governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and applicable provincial privacy laws. This section provides additional information about how FrameShare handles Personal Data relating to individuals in Canada.
Consent
Under PIPEDA, organizations must obtain meaningful consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Data. FrameShare generally relies on the consent of Users to process Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. Consent may be provided expressly (for example, when creating an Account or submitting information through the Website) or implied through your continued use of our Services.
Where Personal Data relates to therapeutic or clinical services provided through our platform, the relevant Provider is responsible for ensuring that appropriate consent has been obtained from their patients or Participants before using our Services.
You may withdraw your consent to the continued processing of your Personal Data, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may limit your ability to use certain features of our Services.
Cross-Border Transfers
FrameShare's infrastructure and service providers may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States. When Personal Data is transferred outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions and accessible to governmental authorities under lawful orders.
FrameShare takes reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data remains protected when processed by third-party service providers, including through contractual safeguards and security requirements.
Access and Correction Rights
Subject to applicable law, Canadian residents have the right to request access to Personal Data under our control and to request corrections if the information is inaccurate or incomplete.
Upon request and verification of identity, FrameShare will:
- Inform you whether we hold Personal Data about you;
- Provide access to that Personal Data; and
- Correct or update inaccurate Personal Data where appropriate.
Certain limited exceptions may apply where disclosure is restricted by law or where providing access would reveal Personal Data about another individual.
