Parental Consent Notice

Last Updated: January 17, 2026

We're contacting you because your child wants to use FrameShare, a digital platform designed to support art therapy sessions and related creative activities! Before your child gets started, we want to make sure that you understand how we collect and use personal information and know what privacy controls are available to you.

Please read this notice and then follow the consent process provided by your child's therapist or provider.

If you are in the US, you can read about our full practices in the Privacy Notice for Parents. If you are in the EU or UK, please refer instead to our European Data Privacy Addendum.

Information We Collect from Children

Children cannot create their own accounts on FrameShare. When your child uses our website or joins a session, we may automatically collect device and usage information, like IP address (to infer location at the state level only), browser type, operating system, pages visited, and duration of visits. We do not use cookies.

During sessions, children may share personal information through the real-time communication features. Audio and video can be enabled by your child to share their image and voice with other users. Chat messages may disclose any information your child chooses to share, like a phone number, home address, or email. To limit other user's ability to contact your child, we use randomly generated, anonymous screen names that can't be reused after the session expires. Your child cannot change or override these usernames.

How We Use Children's Information

We use the information we collect from children to run and protect our services. For example, we process information during sessions to enable real-time communication and collaboration that replicate in-person art therapy. We may also use your child's information to do analytics and fix problems with our website, keep users safe, secure our services, and meet our legal obligations.

When We Share Children's Information

We don't sell children's personal information or share it for behavioral advertising. We may share information with service providers that help our internal operations, such as database maintenance and hosting services. We provide them with the information that they need to perform a specific task. We may also share information when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. If we or substantially all of our assets are acquired, we expect that personal information currently in our possession may be transferred along with our other business assets.

Parents can consent to the collection and use of their child's personal information without consenting to disclosure to third parties, except where disclosure is integral to FrameShare's service. FrameShare does not currently disclose children's information to third parties beyond the service providers and legal, security, and safety disclosures described above.

How to Provide Consent

To allow your child to participate in a session on FrameShare, which includes features that can be used to share personal information, we need your verifiable parental consent. Your child's therapist or provider will guide you through the consent process, which may include signing a consent form or completing an online verification.

If we collected your or your child's name or online contact information to provide this notice and get consent, we will not use it for any other purpose. If you do not provide consent within a reasonable time, we will delete the name and online contact information from our records.
